Privacy-sensitive data or personal information is processed by our web store. AMBIQUE considers a careful handling of personal data of utmost importance. Personal information is therefore carefully processed and protected.

Use of personal data

When using our web store, we obtain certain information from you. This can be personal data. We store and use only the personal data that is provided directly by you, in the context of the service you have requested, or which, at the time of submission, are clearly provided to us for processing.

Certain sections of our web store require you to register first. After registration, we will store the personal data you have provided via your chosen user name. We save this data so that you do not have to fill it in each time and so that we can contact you as part of the execution of the agreement. We will not provide the data linked to your user name to third parties, unless this is necessary for the execution of the agreement you have concluded with us or if this is required by law. In case of suspected fraud or abuse of our web store, we may hand over personal data to the competent authorities.

Order processing

When you place an order with us, we use your personal data for processing. If necessary for proper processing, we may also provide your personal data to third parties. You can read more about this in this privacy statement.

In addition to the information on our website, we can inform you about our new products and services:

Contact form and newsletter

We offer through our web store the possibility to ask questions using a contact form, where you are asked to fill in various data to handle your question. You choose which data to provide in the process. The data you send us will be kept for as long as is necessary according to the nature of the form or the content of your e-mail for the full answering and handling thereof.

We offer a newsletter to inform interested parties about our products and/or services. Every newsletter contains a link that allows you to unsubscribe. Your email address will only be added to the list of subscribers with your explicit permission.

When using our web store, the following data will be published, which means that they are visible to everyone on the Internet:

We use Google Analytics to track how visitors utilize our web store. We have concluded a processor agreement with Google to establish arrangements regarding the handling of our data. Furthermore, we have not allowed Google to use the Analytics information obtained for other Google services. Finally, we do not permit the IP addresses to be anonymized.  

Security  

We employ security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorized access to personal data. In particular, we take the following measures:

  • Access to personal data is protected by a username and password
  • We make use of secure connections (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL) which shield all
    information between you and our website when you enter personal data

Retention periods   

The personal data described above will be kept for as long as is necessary to process your orders, including warranty.
We keep data for an indefinite period of time.
There is a legal obligation for data retention, such as the seven-year fiscal retention obligation regarding payment data.

This privacy statement does not apply to third party websites which are connected to our web store by means of links.
We cannot guarantee that these third parties will manage your personal data in a reliable or secure manner.

Access and changing your data

You can as well request a data export for data we use with your consent, or indicate with reasons that you would like us to restrict the processing of personal data.

To prevent abuse, we may ask you to provide adequate identification when doing so. When it concerns access to personal data linked to a cookie, you are required to send a copy of the cookie in question. You can locate this in the settings of your browser. If the data are incorrect, you can ask us to change the data or have them removed.

We are of course happy to help you if you have any complaints about the processing of your personal data. Under the privacy legislation, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Authority against these processing operations of personal data.
